Radius
and Microsoft® announce their e-Government
roadshow 2002
Microsoft/Radius e-Government roadshow 2001 attracted more than 350 visitors
from over 150 UK local authorities who listened to presentations on topics including
Microsoft's and Radius' vision of e-Government in 2005, e-Procurement, e-Payments,
counter-fraud activities and handling secure transactions in an e-Government
environment.
Microsoft
and Radius today announce that
their joint 2002 e-Government roadshow
will be extended to a seventh venue,
and will focus on the practical
adoption of interoperability in
local authorities. Presentations
will be non-technical, concentrating
on the business benefits of adopting
interoperability in key areas such
as integration of back office systems,
e-Procurement including supplier
enablement, cross-cutting developments
in income processing across multiple
channels and departments and content
management on internet & intranet
sites.
One frequent
comment from attendees at the 2001
events was that they had found
the day highly productive as the
informative presentations were
backed up by a separate, informal
demonstration area where a wide
variety of separate software packages
could be viewed in a non-pressurised
environment.
For the
2002 roadshow we have taken on
board the comments of previous
attendees, extending the separate
demonstration area to include additional
products, whilst reducing the number
of presentations to allow more
time for informal demonstrations.
As with the previous roadshow,
each event has a pick-and-mix approach
- allowing you to choose whichever
presentations are of interest and
use any free time to pick our consultants'
brains or see informal demonstrations
of any of the products.
