Radius,
leading supplier of financial
applications software to Local
Authorities, has now been selected
by 3 of the leading 5 suppliers
of revenues & benefits solutions
to supply income management
and e-payments systems alongside
their applications.
In most Local
Authorities (other than Counties),
typically it is the revenues
& benefits applications
that have the most demanding
interaction with citizens and
business, including Council
Tax, NNDR and Housing Benefits.
Of the five leading suppliers
of solutions to meet those requirements,
Radius now has partnership agreements
with three - Sx3, Northgate
and IBS. RadiusICON works seamlessly
alongside these suppliers to
provide closely integrated solutions
encompassing multi-channel e-payments,
cash receipting, income management
and distribution.
Income management
incorporating e-payments is
now becoming recognised as a
core system. Once implemented
to handle the high throughput
in the revenues and benefits
area it can be rolled out throughout
all the authority. The adoption
of open interoperability means
that customers are no longer
tied down to traditional cash
receipting offerings, but can
buy best-in-class income management/e-payments
systems, secure in the knowledge
that they will easily work with
systems installed across the
authority, both now and in the
future.
Nick Fowler,
Sales Director at Sx3, noted:
“This partnership brings
together the two different offerings
from the two companies to provide
Sx3’s customers with the
best e-payments technology currently
available in the marketplace.
iWorld customers will now be
able to use both Internet and
Automated Telephone Payments
channels to accept payments
of their bills, with the future
option to add further delivery
channels such as Digital TV
and new generation mobile phones
as they become available.”
Dave Meaden,
Managing Director of Northgate’s
Public Sector Division commented:
“We only entered into
our partnership with Radius
following a review of competing
products at their installed
sites, and a technical review
of Radius’ own ISO9001:2001
quality processes. Radius’
reference sites proved that
the products actually delivered
on the functionality and benefits
promised, and the technical
review satisfied our own technical
staff to the extent that we
are now beginning to work with
Radius on a number of our award
winning Front Office sites.”
Bill Loughry,
Sales Director of IBS said:
“Whilst we have our own
cash handling facilities, we
call on Radius when a full-functionality
income management solution is
required, and in particular
when e-payments is required
across multiple channels. The
IBS OPENAccess module is the
'central hub' for communication
between the citizen and the
Local Authority, which is now
enhanced with integration to
the RadiusICON solution.
We have been impressed both
by the ICON product's
functionality and by Radius
flexibility in meeting the customers
functional and commercial needs."
A number
of users of the other two leading
suppliers of revenues and benefits
systems have selected RadiusICON
instead of the in-house offering
on the basis of ICON’s
open interface to suppliers’
systems. This gives these customers
the flexibility to change their
revenues and benefits systems
in the future without the need
to change their core income
management, e-payment and/or
cash receipting system.
