Customer satisfaction
with Radius improves even further
- Socitm Software Survey 2004
Radius
has come top for supplier performance
in the latest 2004 Socitm Survey for
General Ledger, Creditors, Purchasing,
e-Procurement, Stores, Cash Receipting
and Fraud Management.
The Socitm Application
Software Index gives prospects and
suppliers the opportunity to view
customer satisfaction via an impartial
annual questionnaire. The 2004 survey
included responses from 339 local
authorities (77% of the total).
Looking at customer
satisfaction with the major software
suppliers in the 2004 survey (i.e.
those suppliers with at least five
installations in the survey, but excluding
in-house developments), Radius came
top for Supplier Performance for General
Ledger, Creditors, Purchasing, e-Procurement,
Stores, Cash Receipting and Fraud
Management. For cash receipting and
fraud management systems, Radius again
came top in the categories of Product
Functionality and Reliability.
In the key area of Supplier Performance,
where we remain at the top of the
survey for the above products, our
focus on continually improving our
customer support has resulted in an
across-the-board increase on 2003’s
results.
Phil Benton, Radius’ Managing
Director, said:
“Yet again, these results show
that in parallel with our considerable
sales success, Radius continues to
focus on the supply of a complete
quality service to our customers from
documentation and product functionality,
through implementation, and into a
lifetime support service. This is
borne out by the excellent reference
sites that we have for all our products,
including our new Radius Financials
software.”

on-line at www.socitm.gov.uk.
This is Socitm's sixth annual Index
of Application Software used by local
authorities. It covers the software
used in 67 function areas by local
authorities in England, Scotland,
Wales and Northern Ireland. The Index
also provides details of software
used by fire and police authorities.
The functions include Financial, People
and Property systems as well as specialist
systems for front-line services such
as Environmental Health, Libraries,
Social Services and Housing Management.
Also included are systems to support
internal management processes such
as document management, CRM, Content
Management, virus detection and much
more.
The number of organisations
participating in the survey continues
to increase - details are provided
in the 2004 survey of 339 local authorities
(77% of the total and up from 71%
last year), 32 fire authorities and
13 police authorities.
The Index
provides a comprehensive picture of
the software used by each council
including supplier, operating system,
and installation and planned replacement
dates. It also includes tables showing
the relative market share (in terms
of number of installations) of each
supplier and the levels of user satisfaction
with suppliers and their products.
